The system that Urban has created for us gives us real-time stock control. It’s an Android app that talks into the backend SQL of our Opera Pegasus system, and it actually posts the actual job costings as well as the stock reduction at the same time. It gives us a massive clear view of all of our stock which is brilliant.
Furthermore, the system gives me fantastic board report level views of what’s gone off within that month. Looking at the SLA is something that we never really had the capability of looking at. Now I can actually dive into why tickets are taking longer than the actual SLAs should be. From a board level pack, it just ticks all the boxes for us.
From a management point of view, having that full visibility gives me so much confidence that we can see everything on one platform. It also reinvigorates the team a little bit because they can actually see what they’re been working on, it’s all prioritized perfectly.
