Changes to The Network Group Board

Paul Moore of Urban has stepped down from his position as Financial Director of the Network Group after some 4 year tenure. Paul initially joined the Network Group consortium as Managing Director of Birmingham based Heart Business Systems in 2013 but was invited to join the executive board in 2018 to manage the financial governance of the organisation.

During his time in the position, he recruited a strong financial support team to help with the implementation of a new accounting system which enabled a more transparent method of financial reporting. Taking the reins from the end of October is Sharon Billingham from CWL Systems Ltd, a Cambridgeshire based MSP .

“I’ve enjoyed my time on the board and feel we achieved a lot during the time in my position, but the recent merger of Heart with Urban; tripling the size of the company, is taking a lot of my attention and consequently I feel that it is time to step down and make way for Sharon who I am sure is the right choice to take the Group forward” commented Paul who is now free to concentrate on and manage the Urban group’s future acquisitional ambitions as well as its day to day financial responsibilities.

In response Sharon replied,

“Paul is going to be a tough act to follow.  His experience and knowledge is second to none,.  I hope to bring my own spin on the role, (watch this space!) within the Network Group.  An organisation which has impressed me with how it supports all its members in an ever- changing IT industry.”

The Network Group is a consortium of the UK’s leading technology professionals, and has evolved into a strong, innovative, dynamic and progressive sharing community with over 85 members from across the IT Channel.
