At Urban Network, we’re passionate about technology—but we’re even more passionate about people. That’s why when we learned about Zarach, a UK based charity fighting child bed poverty, we knew we had to get involved.
The Reality: 1 in 20 Children are Sleeping on the Floor
It’s a shocking statistic: 1 in 20 children in the UK have slept on the floor in the past year. No mattress. No pillow. Just the cold, hard ground. For many of us, a bed is a given. But for thousands of families, it’s a luxury they simply can’t afford.
Zarach is on a mission to change that. Their work ensures that children in crisis receive a proper bed, bedding, and the essentials they need to sleep soundly and thrive at school.
Our Role: More Than Just IT Support
In partnership with the Network Group, Urban Network proudly supported a charity dinner that raised over £16,000—enough to fund more than 100 bed bundles for children in need. But this wasn’t just about money. It was about making a tangible difference in the lives of families across the UK.
Each bed bundle includes:
- A brand-new bed frame and mattress
- Duvet, pillow, and bedding
- Pyjamas and hygiene essentials
